Fulco de Verdura was one of the 20th centuries most acclaimed jewelry designers, and his pieces were much in demand by wealthy women of style, especially Hollywood actresses. This Autumn Leaf brooch is a wonderful piece. The stones – citrines and variously colored beryls beautifully evoke autumnal colors, and the gold veins of the leaf provide the framework. This piece was made in the late 1980’s, and was so difficult to do that they only made a few of them.
