Description

Renato Bassoli was born in Italy, but worked in Paris. He was known as a sculptor and ceramicist, but made furniture for his own pleasure.  This chair is an abstract but recognizable female figure created in wrought iron and rope. Bassoli’s work is in the musee des arts decoratifs in Paris, and some pieces were exhibited at the Museum Villa Stuck in 1984. This is one of four chair figures, each different, two male and two female. 43 x 23 x 21″
