GIULIO RADI MURANO GLASS VASES

Giulio Radi employed a very unusual technique that utilized gold and silver inclusions to create the shimmering surfaces characteristic of the experimental work of this distinguished Murano glass artist. He also used the difficult technique of marquetry, in which decorative elements are inlaid into the glass. This fine and beautiful piece is a great example of how these techniques come together to great effect.
