Stunning and dramatic design by Van Cleef & Arpels showing the subtle influence of jewels of India. The high-dome is set with two rows of diamonds in a scalloped cartouche, with tiny diamonds in a row on top, and a diamond in a tear-drop setting on either side. Below this are two rows of diamonds, one overlapping the second, in a scalloped setting, with a reeded shank. So simple, and so perfect. Set with 17 carats of fine diamonds, c 1960's.
