Stunning agate brooch by Andrew Grima – one of the most important 20th century jewelry designers. Grima loved using minerals in his jewels for their striking and unexpected colors and forms.
This beautifully shaped and striated agate is highlighted by a few small diamonds to bring light to the piece, and surrounded by a textured gold bezel. It can also be worn as a pendant. A drawing of this brooch is featured in the catalogue of the Grima Retrospective, held at Goldsmith’s Court in London,1991.
