Description
Jean Despres was one of the most important of the French artist-jewelers. His pieces are strikingly original, and represent Art Deco jewelry at its most exciting. His pieces are quite rare. His most desirable pieces were done in the 1920’s – 1930’s. This striking ring dates c 1925, and the design is very pure – a silver half-cylinder with gold bands against a ground of black lacquer.
