This kind of table is called a “gueridon” in French, and can be placed between chairs, next to a chair or sofa, in an entrance hall, or anyplace where a smallish round table would be useful, and they are useful, indeed.
This table is an elegant beauty, in parchment, ebonized pear wood, and the original black opalescent glass. It gets along well with many different periods, including Contemporary. It was designed by the eminent French Art Deco designer Jacques Adnet, c 1930’s.
24.5 x 39.5 inches.
