Rolf Cavael was a very interesting artist who created elegant and dynamic small abstracts. Born in Prussia, the family moved to Alsace. Cavael’s works show a very fine sense of design and movement. The various forms create a tension of contrasting forms, but the work possesses a satisfying unity.
