Albert Paley is one of the best known of the American furniture designers working in the latter part of the 20th century. Paley’s furniture, made by hand of forged steel, often seems like a riff on the famed Art Nouveau designer Hector Guimard, with its ruffles and swirls of metal, but these pieces are thoroughly modern in their composition and use of material. Forged and fabricated steel, with a glass top. Stamped ALBERT PALEY 2000. 18 inches high x 36 inched diameter.
