Since time immemorial, people have been both fascinated and repelled by snakes (see our blog – Snakey Things for more on this subject). Serpent rings have also been popular in many cultures and times, and in England in the late 19th century, they enjoyed great popularity.
This is a beautiful and unusual serpent ring in 18k gold, with the serpent’s heads, each set with a cabochon ruby, joined by a diamond-set band. English, c 1880.
Size 6 3/4 – can be easily re-sized.
