Description
A very rare and unusual pair of Victorian onyx and diamond earrings. The wonderfully detailed butterfly, complete with tiny diamonds on the antennae, symbolizes life and the spirit, while the serpent with it’s tail in it’s mouth, sometimes referred to as ourobouros, symbolizes Eternity. England, ca. 1840.
