Renato Bassoli was born in Italy, but subsequently moved to Paris, where he produced original and striking ceramics, sculpture and furniture.
Bassoli’s sculpture often contained ceramic elements, usually human figures. They are perfect balances of positive and negative space, and are compelling in their originality.
Bassoli’s work is in the musee des arts decoratifs in Paris, and some pieces were exhibited at the Museum Villa Stuck in 1984.
