Touplas Philolaos was an important 20th century sculptor. Born and trained in Greece, but worked mostly in France, where he won numerous awards This steel sculpture dated 1967 is both whimsical and powerful. The upper section folds back to reveal a polished steel “mirror”. Signed and dated. H 63 x W 21 x D 12.5 inches.
